Cancellation Policy

We have a 35 day cancellation notice period. If you wish to cancel your subscription please remember to let us know at least 35 days before your subscription is due to tick over.

Wait, didn’t it used to be 30 days?

Recently we’ve had to update our terms & conditions to cover a number of unforeseen situations.

Basically though, our policy remains the same. We need at least a full billing cycle notice to cancel your account. The more notice you can give us the better.

Why do we have this policy?

Please understand, this is not just an opportunity for us to ding your card again. Having this policy is the only way we can do what we do and keep our rates what they are.

We work to scale meaning that many of the more complex takedowns on offshore sites are bundled in with other clients. Getting links removed from these sites is difficult and often means we need to pay cyber investigators or even people on the ground to visit the home of the site owner. These naturally come with sizeable overheads and the only way we can do this without charging you more is to spread the costs over many clients.

These types of removals can take several weeks to months and once initiated we can’t adjust the terms of our notice (i.e. remove your products from the takedown list) without compromising the whole case. We tried this in the past and it didn’t work very well. Unfortunately, if you prevaricate with some pirate site owners or give them an inch they take advantage of it.

On top of this, our server allocation and team schedules need to be planned in advance which is another reason why we require a period of notice.
